Do you remember when you were little and your parents took care of you? You remember when you were in college and they furnished your apartment for you? Parents do a lot for us and there will come a time when you must do your part to help them out.
When they are all alone why not bring them into your home and take care of them in any way that you can? Build a room or apartment for them off your home, install a DIY stair lift, or simply help to put them up in their own place. It is time to show them your love and take care of them!

Most homeowners would like an elegant countertop to grace their homes. These types of countertops are typically expensive and are out of reach of the average homeowner. An example would be granite countertops. They are expensive because of the beauty and the quality of the granite stone. The variety of colors and vein patterns of the granite stone makes such countertops a perfect choice for high end homes. Granite is also very hardy and it will last for as long as you want. For those who can’t afford its hefty price, there are discount countertops with comparable beauty and elegance. Within a certain class of stones, there are different grades. For example, with granite, there is a first class, second class, third class and so on. As you go lower, the quality of the stones goes lower too. But still, you get the overall look and elegance of granite. With the lower grades, you will have a certain amount of imperfections on the stone. Sometimes the stone would contain other minerals other than granite. Or they may have some small cracks in some section of the slab. Countertop installers usually work around these imperfections to make the countertop not only strong but elegant as well.On the bottom rung of the ladder of countertop options are the cheap countertops. Typically, these types of countertops are made of laminate materials. They are actually made of layers of paper, glued together, pressed and treated with high pressure and high temperature. Their surfaces could be designed to look like granite, onyx and other expensive materials. They are made strong by supporting them with a plywood backing or other wooden support. As well as kitchen countertops, you can also get discounted vanity countertops.

As I type up this ‘graph on Folding Dish Drainers, I’m watching a new episode of Unsung, the TV One channel’s equivalent of ‘Behind The Music’ which focuses on Black artists from back in the day. Tonight’s episode focuses on the lovely Denise Williams, a songbird from the 70s and 80s. They just showed her on an episode of American Bandstand where she was doing, ‘Lets hear it For the Boy”. I forgot all about that song. Wow. A Classic. It still sounds good, 30 or so years later. Before I go to bed tonight, I’ll have to download some of her music to my MP3 player.

I wanted to find some good Office Desks a couple of days ago while I was on the Internet. The reason for this is that the office I run is expanding and we were going to need to hire two new people in the near future. I guess this is a good thing considering that the economy is in the dumps and all the people I seem to know are complaining. My wife tells me all the time I need to be positive.

Have you ever apartment hunted and noticed that Apartment Refrigerators all look the same. Plain and simple, bottom of the line, refrigerator on the bottom, freezer on top, usually almond color or sometimes white, definitely no ice in the door. But isn’t it magical how when you open that refrigerator door for the first time to look inside, as if you would or would not take an apartment based on the refrigerator, but some kind of genie is released and you start to envision putting your own groceries in there and then suddenly the place feels like home all of a sudden.

I hate carpet. I have always hated carpet, but now that I have four kids, I really hate it. I want to rip it all up and I probably will one of these days. I told my husband that it is time for us to go price out some atlanta hardwood flooring. He agrees, but we both know that we just don’t have the money to do it. I think that we might have to take out a loan and get it done.
